1200MT Industrial Import : Indian Railways Project

Mega Move India Private Limited executed the successful import and delivery of a 1200 metric ton Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) from China for the Kanpur Metro Station project, awarded by Indian Railways. The project involved complete end-to-end logistics management including port handling, customs clearance, specialized inland transportation, and final site delivery.

The shipment was handled under DAP (Delivered at Place) terms and executed on a priority basis due to the critical construction timeline of the metro project. The cargo consisted of multiple over-dimensional and heavy-lift components, including the cutter head assembly, shield sections, main drive components, backup gantries, hydraulic modules, and structural parts.

Upon arrival at the destination port in India, Mega Move India Private Limited managed the heavy-lift discharge operations, customs clearance, and cargo inspection, ensuring smooth and timely processing.

For inland transportation, 12 specialized in-house oversized cargo fleets equipped with multi-axle hydraulic trailerswere deployed to move the TBM components safely from the port to the Kanpur project site. The transportation was carried out following detailed route surveys, permit approvals, and strict safety protocols.

The entire operation was completed smoothly, safely, and without delays, with all TBM components delivered successfully at the project site for assembly and installation.
